Lake Cruise on Lake Brienz

Welcome on Board

Lake Brienz lies nestled between steep mountain slopes and peaceful lakeside villages – a setting that is truly one of a kind. The boat journey between Interlaken Ost and Brienz is a tranquil passage through one of the most unspoiled landscapes of the Bernese Oberland.

Compared to Lake Thun, Lake Brienz appears wilder and more pristine. Its intensely turquoise waters, fed by glacial rivers, and the steep cliffs of the Brienz Ridge give it a unique atmosphere. Along the route are charming spots like Iseltwald or Giessbach – the latter known for its spectacular waterfall and historic grand hotel, accessible only by boat or funicular.

Navigation on Lake Brienz began in 1839. Today, a modern fleet comfortably transports guests from shore to shore – complemented by the flagship Lötschberg, a carefully restored steamship from 1914 that brings nostalgic charm to the journey.
