Harder Kulm
In just 10 minutes, the Harder Railway takes you from Interlaken up to the Harder Kulm. The 1,47-meter-long route climbs 754 vertical meters through the shady Harder Forest - a short but impressive ride.
At the top, a breathtaking panorama unfolds: far below lies the «Bödeli» between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, while on the horizon, the majestic trio of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau captivates the view.
A highlight for visitors is the Two-Lake Lookout Point - a modern viewing platform with a glass floor that seems to float above the abyss. It offers a clear view straight down and is a popular spot for thrilling photos.
The Harder Railway was inaugurated on May 5, 1908, and has been electrically prowered from the very beginning. For over a century, it has been part of Interlaken's tourism identity. Today, it is operated by the Jungfrau Railways and combines tradition with modern technology - a short journey that leaves a lasting impression.
